The AP917HD contains filter media that helps reduce sediment, chlorine taste and odor, and scale. It improves water quality and taste while supplying cleaner, clearer water to every water source point in the house. The scale inhibition feature uses polyphosphates in minute quantities to bind calcium and magnesium hardness minerals, preventing them from precipitating out and building up on metallic surfaces which can reduce flow rates throughout the home’s plumbing system. The innovative Sanitary Quick Change (SQC) design, an industry first for this application, allows for fast and easy cartridge change-outs without having to contact the filter media or the need for a filter wrench. Tested and verified by manufacturer’s laboratory. Replace every 12 months, at 100,000 gallons of use, or sooner if a noticeable reduction in flow occurs.

Aqua-Pure AP910R Whole House Replacement Filter Cartridges helps to reduce iron and particulate in up to 100,000 gallons of water, a typical year’s supply dependant on water quality, before replacement. The cartridges have a high flow rate, providing up to 20 gallons (75.7 liters) of filtered water per minute. A sanitary design minimizes spills and keeps filtration media enclosed during change-outs. Nonwoven polyester blend pleated filter media has a five-micron filtration rating. A cartridge change is recommended at one year. Manufactured by 3M Purification Inc., formerly CUNO Incorporated, the cartridge is made from CFR-21 certified materials. It can operate at temperatures from 40-100°F (4.4-37.8°C) and at water pressures from 25-125 psi (172-862 kPa). It does not require pre-activation, and has an O-ring seal type. It is 25-1/16 inches (63.7 cm) long and 4.5 in (11.4 cm) in diameter. It is for use with the Aqua-Pure AP902 Water Filter System.
